shoutouts.

I am currently helping out two amazing companies/bloggers: Glitter Events & Advice from a Twenty Something!

*I have been lovin' working with Glitter Events, even though I am across the country from the wonderful glitter gals, Alaina & Ashleigh. They are based in St. Louis, my lovely hometown and are super super cute. I have been helping them with their social media, and going on plenty of pinning parties for them :) They are lovers of fun straws, fresh sunflowers, vanilla frappuccino, pumpkin picking, true love, baby shoes, candlelight, glitter, anchors, fall, 4th of July, cupcakes, fireworks, boots, massages, hydrangeas, the beach, hiking, do-it-yourself projects, shopping, all things vintage and nail polish.
Sounds a bit familiar.....

Not that I think any of my friends should get hitched ANY time soon, y'all should check them out!

*I just started helping Amanda out from one of my favorite blogs, Advice from a Twenty Something. Her blog is totally fresh, relatable, and one of my most visited pages while web surfin'. This blog is just the place to go when you're needing an uplifting on life and love, having a style emergency, or when your apartment is in need of a makeover! She also gives some great hair advice. Such a versatile place and this girl has some true talent. So happy to be working with such a rockstar!

farm party.

Welcome to the farm party, otherwise known as Stefano's at LA Farm. You will automatically be introduced by a killer atmosphere and quietly wonder to yourself if you are actually in or outdoors. The "outside" seating is constructed to feel like you are in some sort of tent, filled with fireplaces and comfy mod couches. If I hadn't gone with my best friend, it would totally have been the perfect scene for an awkward date spot. Although we ordered a few items off the small plate section, let me make this clear. They are not lying about the serving size, they are truly SMALL plates. All I have to say is an order of bruschetta comes with one. So it's notttt the best place to go on a splitting spree. But if you are looking for a great place for a glass of wine with a girlfriend and to spend some money you think you have - come one, come all. They even generously have a glass container of double bubble gum on the way out. Definitely a trendy place that I would come back to when I am not footing the bill :)

oscar obsessions.

The first obsession goes to the man of the hour (or the four hours...) Ready...SETH....GO.  Seth MacFarlane. Whatta guy. Putting his incredibly stunning looks aside for a sec, his wit, sense of humor, & extremely offensive jokes made those long hours absolutely tolerable. While he was originally asked to host the show because of his singing voice, I'm sure his Ezra Fitz + Charlie Hilbrant hunky looks did not hurt the ratings either.

Now for the dress & girl crushes of the night.

  • Kerry Washington. Her coral Miu Miu dress was to absolutely die for. Was totally feeling the color, the style, the gold, her hips, everything.

  • Charlize Theron. Minus the Ellen D haircut, she was a total bombshell. Her white peplum gown could not have looked more elegant and feminine, even when her hair style was mocking a former 90's boy bander.

  • Finally the similar dresses of Amy Adams and Jennifer Lawrence. They both took the risk and killed it. How fitting of Amy to wear Oscar to the Oscar's, am I right or am I right? And anything Jennifer Lawrence does, wears, says, falls, (insert any adjective) she can pull off. She wins the numba one girl crush of the night.

Honorable Mentions:
Jack Nicholson's sunglasses.
Renee Zellweger's azzian sensation eyez.
& K Stew's beautiful rats nest.

dia de {DIY)

I have three different do-it-yourselves goin' on.
  • GLITTER nation. My mission is to glitter some letters (my monogram bRe) for mi casa, as well as glitter dipping some mason jars. I also grabbed a few feathers at the craft store to dip in glitter as well, because one can never have too much sparkle in their life.
  • Inspiration Board. Before Pinterest was a thing, peeps got their inspiration from magazines, prints, photographs, or just anything that came along the way. I have been working on making a board with things that inspire me. I have pulled some looks from magazines, quotes, pretty prints, and just anything that catches me eye.

  • Makin' prints from Paper Source! I always find cute prints that I want on pinterest or etsy, but never want to spend the money to get them! So I decided to buy paper that I love from Paper Source (they have the BEST prints, for only a couple bucks) and frame them. I have made a few with chevron prints, as well as a boho print. My latest one is filled with my current obsession, macarons. Frames are all from Michael's. Such an easy & cute way to make your apartment more colorful!

nashville nut.

To say I am obsessed with the show Nashville would be the understatement of the year. I am well aware that I jumped on the bandwagon a bit late, but better late than never, am I right? I have always been severely intrigued with the southern lifestyle; including southern gentleman, the accents, cowboy boots, the whole sha-bang. In other words, Nashville is right up my alley.
Not only do they have the southern belle twang & attitudes, but the style and the hair is to die for. I don't think one girl can watch the show without fantasizing about Connie Britton's perfect locks. And man, does she make 45 look good or what? Her strawberry blonde curls are the reason dry bars are the talk of the town. I might just hit up one this weekend with a picture of Rayna Jaymes in hand :)

call me for coffee.

Not trying to say I have become some coffee connoisseur since I have moved to LA, I am still a newbie to the coffee snob club, but there are so amazing coffee shops in this city. Although there is a Starbucks or a Coffee Bean {which I am most certainly not above} on every street corner, the best places to go for a cup of joe are the local ones. One I have recently discovered and quickly have become attached to is Alfred {Coffee & Kitchen}. I give this place a two thumbs up due to the cute baristas who strut their stuff in rag&bone uniforms, chic atmosphere, wonderful location, and of course, the moustache coffee sleeves. Follow them on instagram @alfredcoffee if you are a mocha maniac.
